Senior Tax Accountant

Education requirement: BS in Accounting or Business Administration/Management
Experience: Minimum of three to five years in public accounting environment

Skills:

  • Strong tax preparation experience in corporate, partnership and personal tax
  • Experience with multi-state corporate, partnership and individual tax returns
  • Strong written, spoken and telephone communication skills
  • Basic computer skills with a strong background with tax preparation software
  • Strong analytic skills

Job Description:

Our tax professionals work predominately with small and mid-sized, closely-held companies in various industries as well as high net worth individuals and other professionals. A senior tax accountant is expected to be able to develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients by being attuned to the client’s business needs and challenges. You must be able to work both independently and in a team environment and adjust to changing priorities seamlessly. The ability to create custom tax strategies for clients based upon their circumstances is a plus, but not required.

A basic understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation is required as well as a firm grasp of general ledger accounting

Job Description:

Our staff accountants are engaged in the preparation of personal, partnership and corporate tax returns. They perform basic tax research and learn the foundations of tax concepts that they will utilize as their career advances. Staff accountants are exposed to the workings of a general ledger and will develop the skills necessary to prepare GAAP financial statements.
